Tukey Travertine slab

Tukey Travertine

Turkish travertine slabs in warm beige – the benchmark stone of the 2026 travertine revival. Available cross-cut and vein-cut, honed, filled or unfilled.

Tukey Travertine is quarried in the Denizli basin of western Turkey, the region that supplies most of the world’s specification-grade travertine. Its warm beige ground and finely layered porosity are the reference point designers mean when they simply say “travertine”.

Why Turkish Travertine Is Back in 2026

Travertine has moved from dated to sought-after faster than any other natural stone this cycle. The driver is the shift toward warm, tactile, organic-modern interiors and away from a decade of cold grey. Turkish travertine sits at the centre of that revival because it delivers the warm neutral palette at commercial volumes, with consistent block supply that lets architects specify it across an entire building rather than a single feature.

Appearance & Finish Options

A soft honey-to-beige ground carries fine linear pore channels and gentle tonal banding. Cross-cut slabs read as cloudy and organic; vein-cut slabs read as linear and architectural. A honed finish keeps the surface matte and contemporary, while a polished finish deepens the beige and adds reflectivity. Slabs can be supplied filled (resin or cement) for a smooth plane or unfilled for a raw, textured travertine look.

Best Applications

  • Large-format interior flooring and continuous floor-to-wall schemes
  • Exterior cladding, terraces and pool surrounds (unfilled, honed for slip resistance)
  • Bathroom vanity tops, shower walls and full wet-room linings
  • Reception desks, staircases and bespoke stone furniture

Slab Sizes, Finishes & Fabrication

Standard slabs are cut at 18 mm and 20 mm, with 30 mm available for countertops and heavy-duty treads. Cut-to-size tiles, bookmatched pairs, chiselled and brushed finishes, and full edge profiling are all produced in-house. Travertine is a calcareous stone – specify an impregnating sealer and pH-neutral cleaners.
